Our latest Q&A spotlights Billy White — a rising Class of 2026 standout with big-time goals and the work ethic to match. The 6’8 forward from Veterans Memorial HS (Corpus Christi, TX) shines on the grassroots circuit with ASAK 3SSB and already holds numerous Division 1 offers. I had the chance to watch him at the War Before the Storm and came away impressed with his versatility and presence on both ends.

We connected with Billy for a quick round of questions covering his game, goals, and recruitment.

Q: How would you describe your game to fans, college coaches, and scouts?

Billy White: “I’m an elite-level shot maker, a strong rebounder, and a very interchangeable player who can adapt to multiple positions.”

Q: How did this past high school season go for you and your team?

Billy White: “It was a great season. We went 39-1 and made it all the way to the state semifinals.”

Q: What are your short-term and long-term goals in basketball?

Billy White: “Short-term, I want to become a 5-star prospect. Long-term, the goal is to reach the NBA.”

Q: Which college programs have been involved in your recruitment recently?

Billy White: “Texas, SMU, LSU, TCU, and Stanford.”

Q: What are your thoughts on those programs and their coaching staffs?

Billy White: “To be honest, I’ve liked every coach I’ve talked to. They all have great programs and staffs.”

Q: What will a college program be getting from you on and off the court?

Billy White: “A guy who’s strong in his faith and committed to winning.”
