Dynamic Prep and Leadership squared off in a prep-level matchup that featured pace, physicality, and stretches of strong execution from both programs. Wake Forest signee Gavin Placide controlled the paint with put-backs and dunks, and Memorial’s Dylan Steffe and Caden Deffebaugh both impressed—Deffebaugh dropping 26 with multiple dunks. Memorial’s 2029 guard Vijay Keshaav flashed athleticism and acrobatic finishes, and today’s notes included McKinney Christian’s 78–41 win behind steady play from Manny Weaver and Diego Landin. Bishop Gorman Tyler beat Fort Worth Christian 61–51, and 2027 guards EJ Coppock and Carlin Ifeadi stood out with downhill attacks and mid-range polish. 2027 6’7” Tristan Coleman used his length for acrobatic finishes and turned his motor on late to impact the game.

The night began at Plano West, where scrimmages ran from 5:00–7:00 PM across both the Main and Small Gyms. Setting tone for a full evening of basketball action. Things wrapped up with a TAPPS regular-season matchup — not a scrimmage — between Parish Episcopal and Grace Prep. Competitive battle that ended 66–60 in favor of Parish. It was an electric night of hoops featuring standout performances from Keyaun Williams, Christian Darko, Jordan Johnson, Karson Jones, Mason Reed, Hudson Lucas, Armon Almuttar, MJ Boyd, Robert Moore, and Johnny Green.
A competitive matchup featured strong showings from multiple players on both sides. Bryce Dixon, Trae Brown, Shaan Bala, Jack Burley, TJ Johnson, & Timothy White all made key contributions that shaped the outcome of the game. Plano took the win 40-35.
McKinney Christian Academy controlled the game from start to finish, earning a decisive win by more than 20 points — but there were standouts on both sides. MCA’s depth and efficiency were on full display, led by Diego Landin’s inside scoring, Immanuel Weaver’s smooth playmaking, and Freshman Rayden Hendrix. For Prestonwood, Blake Dinkins and Jacob Lathan showed flashes of high-level shot-making and skill, proving there was plenty of talent across the court.
The SWAIC Kick-Off delivered a strong opening statement as high-school prospects from across the region hit the floor and set the tone early. Physical defense, confident shot-making, explosive finishes, and disciplined execution stood out all session. From dynamic guards creating off the bounce to powerful forwards controlling the paint, these athletes proved they’re ready for varsity impact — and many showed flashes of true next-level upside. When you watch Austin Sears (C/O 2028, 6’1 PG) from Kentucky on the court, the first thing that stands out isn’t just his handle, it’s his command. Every possession looks calculated, every read made with intent. Sears plays with a poise well beyond his age, blending tight handle work with advanced pickup variations and pace manipulation that keep defenders off balance. Recent training sessions highlight that technical polish — from Curry-style pickups to pocket dribble pickup series that let him stay low, deceptive, and ready to attack in any direction.
