2030 guard Niles Neumann put together a standout stretch at the SWAIC Kick Off. Suiting up on the HS Varsity stage as an 8th grader for New Wave Academy against EG3 Prep.
On Thursday Neumann went for 40 points on only two misses,an incredible display of efficiency for any level. Let alone a middle-school prospect playing up. He shot the ball with confidence off the dribble, attacked the paint for clean finishes, and mixed in side-steps and step-backs to create separation. He consistently found ways to score the basketball and showed advanced poise for his age.
He also concluded the game with 4 assists, further highlighting his ability to facilitate and impact the game beyond scoring.
We had a scout on site, and Neumann’s composure, shot-making versatility, and ability to adjust against older competition were evident. A name to track closely in the 2030 class.
