The AOG x TPT Texas High Academic Camp, powered by Athlete AI, brought talented 8th-12th grade boy’s student-athletes, college coaches, scouts, and media outlets together for a successful weekend in Dallas, Texas. With two full courts at the prestigious Parish Episcopal School – Addison, the camp was limited to 100 student athletes.
Designed to give academically driven prospects a legitimate platform to compete and gain exposure, the camp attracted representation from numerous college programs. Players had the opportunity to showcase their abilities in a competitive setting while connecting with coaches from schools that value success both on the court and in the classroom.
Several respected national and regional scouting and media outlets were also in attendance, providing additional exposure for the prospects who performed well throughout the weekend.
AOG, All In Elite Under Armour and Silver Waves Media Founder and CEO Ryan Silver called the event “one of the best camps of the year in Texas.”
Beyond the talent on the court, Silver emphasized the importance of creating meaningful opportunities for players navigating today’s constantly changing recruiting environment.
“It was great to give these kids an opportunity,” Silver said. “With the new landscape of college basketball, players need more opportunities to compete in front of coaches and receive legitimate exposure.”
The partnership helped combine college connections, scouting coverage, media exposure, and player evaluation under one roof. Athlete AI further strengthened the event by powering the camp and supporting its focus on player development and exposure.
For AOG, this event represents only the beginning. Fans can expect more camps and showcases designed to connect deserving student-athletes with college programs and provide players with additional opportunities to be seen.
AOG Vice President of Teams and High Academic Events Coach Scott Martin, who is also the head boys basketball coach at El Segundo High School in California, said the organization plans to hold its eighth annual Texas High Academic Camp slightly earlier in August 2027.
“With Texas football starting so early and never really stopping, it makes sense to move the camp up,” Martin said. “That will allow more student-athletes to participate and benefit from the exposure and opportunities the event provides.”
As the recruiting landscape continues to evolve, AOG and TPT intend to keep creating experiences that help players gain exposure, build relationships, and find the right opportunities at the next level.
The Texas High Academic Camp delivered on that mission—and established a strong foundation for what is ahead.
